Stuart Snaith originally hails from Lancashire.  He has been a member of Birmingham Citadel Band since 1974 and is currently Birmingham Citadel Band Secretary.  This job keeps Stuart busy as he has the task of ensuring that Birmingham Citadel Band maintain their busy concert schedule and that their varied commitments and projects run smoothly.

 

Stuart is also kept busy professionally as he runs his own Carpentry and Joinery business.

Doug Beattie plays 1st Cornet in Birmingham Citadel Band having transferred to Birmingham Citadel in 2014.  Doug is a vastly experienced player who has previously played Solo Cornet in the International Staff Band for a number of years.

 

He is an experienced conductor within the Salvation Army who served with distinction as Bandmaster of Norwich Citadel Band.  He came to Birmingham Citadel having taken charge of the Salvation Army corps at Lowestoft for a time as Envoy.
