Birmingham Citadel Young People’s Band is a group of young Christian musicians aged between 7 and 18 years old.  The Young People’s Band has always been, and still is, an integral part of corps life and makes a valued contribution to worship services.

The band meets weekly to rehearse in order to maintain a high standard of christian musicianship which ensures that it is an effective force for God.   The young people have recently enjoyed visits to Sunderland, Weston-Super-Mare, Essington, Mansfield and Wisbech, and are constantly seeking new avenues of service.

The current leadership team comprises of Robert Hayward (Leader), Callum White (Assistant Leader), Matthew Frost (Assistant Leader) and Mark Pearson (Sergeant).  These people seek to both spiritually and musically nurture and encourage the young people on their Christian journey.  The band also has a wider support network of people who train, pray for and encourage the youngsters.
