BCB were so pleased to participate in an event that we had greatly missed for the last two years.

On Saturday 10th September the Band once again played prior to the British Open Brass Contest at Symphony Hall Birmingham.

The area around Symphony Hall has been developed over the last couple of years and for the first time, the band was able to perform on the first floor, in the new Jennifer Blackwell performance space.

As always we regard this as an immense privilege to be invited to play and we look forward to seeing old and new friends in a new location at Symphony Hall.

As with previous years, the band featured a wide-ranging programme featuring 'classic' reportoire such as Eric Ball's 'A Triumph of Peace' and more recent music such as 'Happy Song' (Arr. Sam Creamer) and 'Let their be light' (Arr S. Ponsford).  Soloists Neil Blesset (Tenor Horn) and David Taylor (Euphonium) also featured and the reception and feedback the band received was, as usual, very positive.  We were very happy to be invited once again to minister in this way and hope to continue to use this oppportunity to witness in future years.
