Birmingham Citadel Band started its Christmas Carolling programme this Saturday by playing to the many thousands of people who flocked to the National Exhibition Centre.  When the band arrived at 9.30am we realised just how many people were at the NEC as the sheer volume of traffic meant that it took some 40 minutes to get into the car park!

 

But it was worth the effort as we managed to play carols, familiar Christmas tunes and talk to the many passers by.  As always, people stopped to listen and chat, and many commented that now they had heard the Salvation Army Band they had started to feel “Christmas-y”!
