Birmingham Citadel Band led the Birmingham Rotary Club’s carol service which was held, once again, at Birmingham Citadel Salvation Army.  The Birmingham branch of the Rotary Club sponsored the event once again which saw several hundred people gathered to sing favourite carols and listen to music from the band.  The programme was compered by Fred Crowhurst (who also organised the event) and Major Samuel Edgar (West Midlands Divisional Commander).  The band’s contribution included The Wonder of Christmas (P. Graham), Sleigh Ride (L.Anderson), Immanuel (S. Ponsford), A Christmas Finale (P. Lovatt-Cooper) and the band concluded the night with The Joy of Christmas (R. Redhead).
