Oliver Ridley arrived at Birmingham Citadel in May 2015.  He hails from Yorkshire and is a product of the Sheffield Citadel Corps and moved to Birmingham to work in the city.  Since graduating with a degree in Sports Journalism, he has worked in this field for newspapers and football clubs.  


In the Army world Oliver has played Soprano Cornet in the Sheffield Citadel Band for 7 years and has guested with the Household Troops Band as well as playing Soprano Cornet for the Territorial Youth Band and the Territorial Music School’s “A” Band.  He is also a member of the staff at the annual Territorial Youth Band course.  He has played with a number of non-SA bands including competitions with Cornerstone Brass and concerts with Grimethorpe Colliery Band, Rothwell Temperance Band and VBS Poynton Band.

Current Employment: Financial Systems Administrator at Pinsent Masons

Hobbies: Sheffield Wednesday FC, FIFA on the Playstation, playing football...anything football really!
