16th-18th November 2018 - Visit to Belfast Citadel
BCB were delighted to accept an invitation to worship with the people of Belfast Citadel and beyond in a busy weekend that included concerts, marches, open-airs and worship. Reports, photographs and video highlights can be accessed by clicking below.
22nd September 2018 - BCB 125th Anniversary Gala Concert
The Ruddick Arts Centre, Edgbaston was the venue for the commencement of BCB’s 125th Anniversary Celebrations. A weekend, which as it progressed, conjured up so many happy memories of the band’s consistent ministry in Birmingham and indeed further afield over the years.
8th September 2018 - Pre-British Open Music
It is now sixteen years since the first invitation was given to BCB (Birmingham Citadel Band) to provide a programme of music in the foyer of the Symphony Hall prior to the British Open Brass Band Championship.
1st June 2018 - Pre-Symphony Sounds Concert
Unfortunately the Amsterdam Staff Songsters were unable to travel as planned this for this event. This meant that the concert on Friday was changed to feature the Birmingham Citadel Songsters and Band following a last minute request from the Music and Creative Arts team.
12th & 13th May 2018 - Visit of Hendon Band
Hendon Band visited Birmingham Citadel on 12th and 13th May. The Band were in excellent form and brought us programmes with high standards of music-making presenting the Gospel through music.
5th & 6th May 2018 - Visit to the Devon and Cornwall Divisions
Birmingham Citadel Band recently visited the Devon and Cornwall Division and were kept really busy with a number of outreach and concert opportunities, highlights of many you can see below.
3rd February 2018 - A Night at the Proms
“Du Du… Du Du… Duuuuuuuuuu Du Du…” - The iconic percussion introduction to the 20th Century Fox Fanfare as Birmingham Citadel Band opened their annual A Night at the Proms concert with a first half of music from the cinema – “Lights! Camera! Action!”
